Skylab promoted to the Premiership!

Skylab are proud to have been approached by Man Utd to help develop a digital solution for their Hospitality Sales campaign. Check out the new hospitality sales site.

Man Utd were looking for a way to revolutionise what had been a traditionally print-based campaign to help market and promote their wide range of hospitality packages. The marketing team at Old Trafford were looking for an elegant and versatile digital solution which could form the basis of the their promotional activity in the future.

We proposed the production of 2 websites which would sit alongside the main Man Utd website. Both would be a first in football marketing campaigns.

The first site, a digital brochure would showcase the many hospitality packages from the highest level private suite to the more affordable Red Cafe experience. The site would feature bespoke copy, large imagery and some specially commissioned films to help convey the drama and excitement of the match day experience.

Skylab was on location at Old Trafford during many match days late in last year’s season. We decided to shoot actuality in a fly-on-wall style, enabling us to capture the experience of match day hospitality up close and personal.

The first suite of 6 films were encoded and delivered by our bespoke flash video player.

The second site, an online hospitality guide is the official welcome pack for any hospitality clients. This would feature rules, regulations, wine list, table booking facility maps and directions and an interactive pitch view. The site also has the capability to allow the member to invite a guest while capturing valuable data.

We feel that Man Utd now have the foundations in place to really maximise their hospitality sales campaign dynamically for years to come.
