Skylab Creates Authentic Content For Authentic Food
Delicious Video Content Ready To Serve
The Authentic Food Company (TAFC) was founded in 1985 in a time when Indian and ethnic food were just in their infancy in the UK. Starting humbly with just two employees, Kamal Basran launched a "small business supplying local catering establishments with delicious hand made samosas and other frozen Indian snack food."
Since their creation The Authentic Food Company has delivered the very best of ethnic food and over time they have expanded their range from Indian cuisine to Chinese and Vegetarian dishes. Now over 27 years later, The Authentic Food Company are creating award winning frozen food for the foodservice and retail sector.
The Authentic Food Company pride themselves in achieving quality in everything they do and this is recognised through their winning of the Investors In People gold award in 2012. TAFC produces high quality ethnic foods for some of the most demanding restaurant and retail operators in the UK and Europe. These operators include UK retail giants such as Asda, Iceland and Morrisons, as well as national foodservice vendors such as JD Wetherspoon.
The Authentic Food Company has an extensive portfolio of premium quality frozen international ready meals and snacks. Initially, they requested a single video to promote their long standing relationship with JD Wetherspoon and the creation and development of the Thursday Curry Club. Over the course of six months Skylab continued to develop their relationship with The Authentic Food Company and from that new content was commissioned to help tell The Authentic Food Company story and promote its recipe for success.
Each of the videos created were developed as solutions for TAFC"s needs:

Skylab developed their relationship with TAFC over time and by diligently learning the mission, values and heritage of the company. The first two films produced focus on partnerships and new ventures.
|￭||With The Authentic Food Company delivering their expertly-prepared delicious dishes to JD Wetherspoon the logical next step was to share this news with everyone within the company. Skylab developed an exciting and colourful video focused on family-feel, heritage and the quality of The Authentic Food Company foods as well as acting as an introduction to the JDW Curry Club. The video plays during company conferences.|
|￭||This video was so successful that JD Wetherspoon pubs now play the video on their pub televisions for all of their customers to see. They also promote in via their YouTube Channel.|
|￭||The Authentic Food Company requested a video that would demonstrate their commitment, care and values in their new range of Chinese foods. Yu and You was the obvious choice in partners after they were winners of Gordon Ramsay's best Chinese restaurant in the UK 2010. The video serves as an introduction to this range of foods and the development of the relationship with the Yu and You chefs.|

This video focused on the history of The Authentic Food Company, it"s heritage the awards they has won over the years and inform viewers of The Authentic Food Company relationship with Food Service and Retail.|
|￭||The final video commissioned serves as a staff induction. The video includes standard business practices including Health and Safety, Food Safety and general procedures and information.|

Through Skylab"s relationship with The Authentic Food Company a range of new content was commissioned. As The Authentic Food Company declared each video a success another opportunity surfaced for them to develop their own relationships with their audiences. By delivering high quality content and a thorough discovery process Skylab was able to create content that met each requirement for The Authentic Food Company. Based on the success so far it"s fair to say that this relationship will continue to grow and The Authentic Food Company will continue to "wow" its team, customers and partners.
