The role of Head of Strategy is exciting, varied and constantly evolving. In this role, you will have the ability to shape our strategic offering in the market so we are always one step ahead of our competitors and most importantly, creating products and experiences that produce a great impact on our clients.
Our clients include England Athletics, Swim England, World Lacrosse, Everton FC and the LTA to name but a few.
Job Specification
As the Head of Strategy, you will be expected to deliver in three key areas.
Innovation: to have market-leading innovation that our clients couldn’t get anywhere else.
Market-leading strategy: creating the strategy of our clients and driving them to be the most advanced and effective companies in the territories in which they operate.
leadership: you will work with the Skylab senior management team and the wider Inc & Co Group to provide vision and leadership for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring innovation and ingenuity is delivered across the board.
Job requirements
- Innovate our offering, working closely with department leads to ensure we are delivering market-leading work for our clients.
- Support Skylab agency and Insight (elite performance analysis services) to develop and test new innovation for existing clients and new opportunities in the market.
- Lead strategic work for clients, ensuring we are leading the industry and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Support all client facing teams across the business with strategic guidance and be a key point of contact for clients offering your expertise and trusted council.
- Work with clients to define and embed their digital roadmap to support their business objectives and any new opportunities.
- Lead any strategic thinking in new business pitches, supporting the Head of Agency.
- Where required, lead discovery workshops with key client stakeholders alongside the team in their respective disciplines.
- Work alongside other members of the SMT to furnish the sales pipeline, speaking to prospects, scoping and costing projects with the relevant internal contributors.
- Work with the delivery team to produce the gathering of project requirements inline with your suggested approach, to ensure a clients experience is seamless from start to finish.
- Create detailed technical and functional specification documents alongside the delivery team.
- Serve as a thought leader across the entire business on topics such as tech, strategy and innovation.
Essential:
- 5+ years relevant experience within a strategy-focused role
- Expert understanding of digital, sport and technology
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex subjects simply
- Expert Excel user
- Ability to work with senior clients on key strategy projects and comfortable presenting to senior management
- Focused under pressure and can deliver to a tight deadline
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience using data visualisation tools like Tableau, Google Analytics and Google Data Studio
- Experience working with developers
