Project Manager

The role is exciting, varied and constantly evolving. You are the steward of each project from strategic kick off to final delivery. As partners to our clients, and with process at the core of all we do, we ensure that time and budgets are utilised with the utmost efficiency while ensuring all deliverables measure up to our high standards of quality.

The company is split into two divisions. One division is a specialist in web development and applications for sporting organisations across the globe. The other division specialises in Elite Sports Performance Analysis working with some of the biggest names in sport. Together, the two divisions are able to create bespoke software solutions as well as a host of other services.

Our clients include England Athletics, Swim England, World Lacrosse, the LTA to name but a few.

Essential:

• 3+ years relevant experience within a technical focused role
• Expert understanding of digital
• Excellent commercial, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex subjects simply
• Expert Excel user and great with Word and PowerPoint
• Very efficient, producing significant output with minimal wasted effort
• Focused under pressure and can deliver to a tight deadline
• Ability to work autonomously
• Experience in Agile Methodology

Activities

• Work on a wide range of digital projects with the Delivery Team, Account Director and Technical Director
• Provide input into proposals ensuring the solution is appropriate and accurate estimates are given for design, development,testing, etc.
• Manage projects including discovery/requirements gathering, wireframing/prototyping, design, development, testing, UAT, sign-off and deployment
• Partake in discovery workshops with stakeholders by assisting the discovery lead with exercises and making notes.
• Create and agrees project plans
• Define user stories/tasks and adds to JIRA
• Detail the progress of a project to a client with a project report/sprint report
• Perform ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, review, retrospective, etc.)
• Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality and on budget
• Ensure records of resource effort are maintained for projects
• Is in direct contact on client work, managing amends and bugs through the studio
