Digital Designer/Senior Designer

What you’ll be doing

Own the entire design process on a project including design strategy, concepts, production, final delivery and the creation of case studies to celebrate our work.

Work across the entire Skylab portfolio of client projects, as well as working on Skylab’s own internal projects.

Work on highly innovative and responsive multi-platform projects.

Make awesome stuff we are all proud to put our name to.

Strategy

Define design strategy and rationale.

Production

Translate strategies and requirements into concepts, mockups and prototypes. Create simple, intuitive and beautiful final designs and user experiences.

Evolution

Evolve and refine projects over time. Some projects are several months long but some span several years, so long term creative vision is important.

Collaboration

Be part of the design department and contribute to the setting and evolution of design standards within the studio.

Be part of the project team, working closely with the Creative Director and other team members from design, UX, development, strategy and company directors to successfully deliver projects.

We are looking for

Experience

• Digital agency experience essential.
• Digital design, ideally with a good UI/UX understanding.
• Good brand awareness.

Creative Skills

Essential:

• Photoshop.
• Illustrator.

Preferred:

• Understanding of HTML 5, CSS 3.
• After Effects or other motion graphics tools.
• Final Cut Pro.

Nice To Have:

• Wireframing tools.
• 3D such as Cinema 4D or others.
• Adobe Edge.
• InDesign.
• Keynote.

Possess quality of thought, be conceptually strong, strategically minded and infused with a passion for all things digital and interactive.

Have an eye for clean, contemporary, high-quality design, alongside a love and appreciation of the art of typography.

Demonstrate a firm understanding of user-centered design principles, accompanied with an aptitude and willingness to learn and discover future ways of working in a digital environment to deliver amazing, engaging user experiences.

Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, be organised and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment, while still maintaining the ability to work creatively under pressure.
