Senior UX Designer/UX Designer

We are looking for an experienced UX designer to take on a new and very rare opportunity of defining, owning and delivering our UX process from beginning to end.

Your scope of activity will include input into our entire client portfolio and with a key focus on MediaTank, our own highly innovative cloud-based video platform.

You will be working with Skylab directors, designers, developers and other experts and will be given significant freedom and support.

You will architect user-centred solutions for our clients’ multi-platform projects, from websites and apps to social media and video platforms.

The role requires a blend of strategic ability, with practical hands on skills. This is a new role within Skylab and presents an exciting and unique opportunity.

Key Qualities

A passion for UX and the positive impact it can have on the end user.

Great communication, both verbal and written, using the tools you deem appropriate.

An appreciation of other disciplines and how they relate to UX, for example business objectives, content strategy, development and design etc.

Empathy, both for the user and also the team you are working with.

Adaptability. You will understand that depending on time and budget limitations, there are different approaches to projects.

Design skills. We’re looking for someone with strong UI skills who is comfortable creating high fidelity wireframes.

Key Deliverables

  • Sitemaps.
  • Content strategies (e.g. navigation, categorisation and taxonomies).
  • User flow journeys.
  • Page description documents.
  • Wireframes.
  • Software interface designs.
  • Prototypes, e.g. HTML prototypes.
  • Etc.
