The Big Chip 2011 ‘Best Not for Profit’ Award was awarded to Skylab for the Swimfit project.

Manchester’s very own social media day was organised by the team at Skylab in just over a week and all done through social media. Speakers, guests, and even gifts for the prize draw were gathered through Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin (and a few phone calls but don’t tell anyone ..)

Happy New (Media) Year - The power of the internet in 2010 and beyond
2009 was a very busy year for Skylab’s social media team… building Facebook applications, creating Twitter accounts, building blogs, online apps and huge websites with social media woven into their DNA. 2010 will be an even bigger year for social media as businesses and organisations start to appreciate the inherent power of social media. Thank you Nel… You are the daddy!
Well today is a big day for Studio Skylab. Not only is it the day that our Design Director Neale ‘Nel’ Johnson becomes a father for the second time, but it’s also the beginning of Nel’s last few weeks with Skylab. After four years helping to found and grow the business, Nel is making the very personal and entirely understandable decision to focus on life as a parent rather than as a partner at Skylab.
