Did You Get Facebook’s Graph Search Yet?

Skylab is hiring!



Facebook’s Graph Search will slowly make its way out to users but currently only some users have access. When one of our co-workers pointed out that they had access we thought we would share the experience with you.

At the very top of your Facebook page you will find a redesigned header. The header offers a search bar ready to search through people, places and things.

We found that the amount of information available depends on the size of your social network and what content is publicly accessible on Facebook.

We performed a few simple searches including things like images posted on Skylab’s Fan Page.

Other searches include:

  • Friends who work at Skylab
  • People who bicycle in Manchester, United Kingdom
  • People who are Web Developers in Manchester, United Kingdom

The accuracy of the results were perfect and the process of cycling through the options easy. It performed a lot like Google Instant Search. It also made us keenly aware of how easily you can find information about complete strangers! (Trust us, check your privacy settings!)

Hopefully this will roll out to the UK very soon.
