Manchester United was looking for a way to revolutionise what had been a traditionally print-based campaign, to help market and promote its wide range of hospitality packages.
The marketing team at Old Trafford were looking for an elegant and versatile digital solution which could form the basis of their promotional activity in the future.
At Skylab, we proposed the production of two websites which would sit alongside the main Manchester United website. Both would be a first in football marketing campaigns.
maximize matchday experience
The first site, a digital brochure would showcase the many hospitality packages from the highest level private suites to the more affordable Red Cafe experience. The website would feature bespoke copy, large imagery and some specially commissioned films to help convey the drama and excitement of the matchday experience.
Skylab was on location at Old Trafford during many match days. We decided to shoot in a documentary style, enabling us to capture the experience of matchday hospitality up close and personal. The first suite of 6 films was encoded and delivered by our MediaTank video platform. The second site, an online hospitality guide is the official welcome pack for any hospitality clients. This would feature rules, regulations, wine list, table booking facility, maps and directions and an interactive pitch view.
Manchester United now have the foundations in place to maximise hospitality sales through dynamic campaigns for years to come.
