With two European teams returning to the WSB fold in Season VII, the Colombia Heroicos are the only franchise to be making their debut campaign in 2017, with a 33-strong squad ready to show off its considerable talent. All four of the country’s impressive Rio 2016 Olympians feature, including the Light Flyweight revelation Yuberjen Martinez, whose excellent run in Rio was only halted in the final by the best boxer of the Games, Hasanboy Dusmatov. Martinez is joined by Olympic Flyweight Quarter-Finalist Ceiber Avila, Middleweight Jorge Vivas and Light Heavyweight Juan Carlos Carrillo.
The Colombia Heroicos first-ever WSB match sees the team travel to Argentina in the opening match of the Americas Group. The tough group also contains Venezuela Caciques and last season’s champions, Cuba Domadores.
